Also, is it best to have the car decated before the map? Because I hear mix reviews about this matter.

Some say leave the cat on, others say take it off.

    Thanks again
It all depends on how much you will want to go to

Those stats are very good! That was roughly what I would be looking at ideally. But also want a howl to come from the exhaust. Iv always been one of them people who loves the tones that come from exhausts. The goo subtle ones, not the loud "look at me" ones.

And how much would it be for a map? 320d 2004?

    Thanks

Best bet is just to give jason a call on 07831103030. I've been in a 318i that he had tuned and i just couldn't believe how quick it was. It's not all about the overall power gains but how the car drives after the remap.

You will just need a remap
This will completely change the car and remove the flat spots
Don't waste your money on a sports cat on this car

Thats good to hear. Thinking about getting my 98 318is (m44 1.9) remapped, I know the gains wont be massive but it needs all the help it can get! And no, I'm not swapping out engines before anyone says, the quick revving, economical m44 is staying put!

Jason, what sort of gain would you expect to see? I have a BMC panel filter and a Vortex cat-back exhaust system on there right now, standard apart from that. The Vortex system has made quite a difference on its own (website in case you've not heard of them: Vortex UK Performance Stainless Steel Exhausts, Catalytic & Silencers).

    Cheers,
    Steve
