An induction kit does away with the airbox. The panel filter just replaces the standard filter

Panel filter is an upgrade that sits inside the air box which is supposed to be better than a filter type induction kit. The reason being is that the air box shields heat from the engine bay whereas the induction kit draws in hot air from the engine bay.

he cooler the air going through the inlet manifold then the greater the combustion in the chamber

Hot air is detrimental to air/fuel combustion in the cylinder as hot air is less dense causing a smaller explosion on ignition from the spark plugs

I was thinking of getting ride of the airbox and just running this http://www.demon-tweaks.com/products...ode=GREDK-03-S
From my air inlet to behind my grill so when im driving it pushes air into it would this be good?
Ive seen it done on a few E30's where they take out a light and put the end there so it pushes air straight into it.

    Complete shite mate

You will need a shield to keep the cold air and heat from engine bay separate

Cold air feed + hot engine bay = warm air going to filter.

Cold air separated from hot air from engine bay = cold air going to filter
