    Hi,

I was on the market for a 3-serie touring, targeting a 330d. Remembered about alpinas and now I'm quite interested in a D3 touring (very interesting mix of performance and fuel economy) but they are so rare.

would you recommend to go for a 320d remapped as an alternative to a D3?

    thanks for advice.

I'm only considering the MT D3 (only 2 for sale as used cars in UK), as the bi turbo in touring is even rarer...

a good remapping + no run-flat tyres on a 320d M sport would that be close to a D3 (if talking performance only and not style of course). What other mod would you recommend?
    thanks

    Very good question OP,

    I've got a 2006 E90 320d SE with 19's, 47k, remapped to 197bhp from 163bhp (Superchips Remap).

I've only had the E90 10 months, however, I'm starting to cast glances elsewhere at the D3 touring, over the saloon, As we'll probably hear the the patter of tiny feet in the next few years, so the extra space would be useful.

How much are you looking to spend?

Hi my mate has the twin turbo D3 and just had it re mapped at 240 bhp and with the step-tronic gear box it is a weapon. We took it out for a fast hoon round some safe roads and it still did 37 mpg. have been round Rocking-ham race track in this car and it is so planted and good it is a complete package.
