    hi all my car has been mapped with a simota air filter before i had the car the guy then removed this and put a standad air filter back on now when i fit my cone filter i get a flat spot at about 4k but when i put the standad 1 on it fine anyone having this prob

    Take the hint and leave the standard air box on your car may not sound as you want it to but it will run
    much better with the standard air box/induction.
    my e30 came with a cone filter and had similar issues until i replaced it with a standard air box.

    indeed, airbox is the way.

    i HATE cone filters, all noise and seem to make flat spots on cars.

    hi thanks again i have jst now put the airbox back on and de-restrict and now moved my ram pipe to behined the grille and its alot better still having idle probs my fuel pressure reg flutters at about 4 bar at idle it has a dail on it is this normal or should it b smooth?

    After market fuel pressure regulator, take it off and stick it on fleabay or chuck it in the bin

    I have a dave f kit on mine and doesnt have a 4k flat spot

    You lot must have had problems elsewhere then

    really r they that bad its had a high flow fuel pump fitted and does it all ready have 1 on the fuel rail?

    where do i look lol its like a rats nest i have checked the pipes i have had the idle valve changed and the ccv becuz some1 had grip filled it
