My standard pipe is a bit noisy due to rattly baffles, although it isn't blowing at all yet, been looking at aftermarket ones, performance etc but don't want to spend £3-400 on a system when the car only cost me a bargain £1000,only 'cheap' one i can find on the market is a sportex but i'm told they're rather loud, would prefer a deeper sound rather than the raspy "wasp in a tin can" all the boy racer e36 owners seem to love,i grew out of all that many moons ago!

Looked into a custom system but that was even more expensive than a magnex/scorpion type, any ideas ladies and gents?

By the way,new to the forum so hello all

read above fella, don't want to spend a third of the value of the car on something that won't give any real power gains! rather spend the money getting it all tuned to standard so as to try and reclaim all/most of the original BHP,140 is enough from a n/a 4cyl,when i want more i'll buy myself a 328i sport i expect.

Did toy with the idea of buying a proper Alpina in a year or so but they're as rare as rocking horse sh*t!
