Here we go again guys, the car is a 2007 e60 m5,i want to improve performance by decating manifolds, but i have had differing advice from a number of companies, some say the best mod is to replace both manifolds for decated versions as the configuration and gas flow of the stock items is poor others say the best way forward is simply decat the existing manifolds and change bottom cats for 150 cell race cats, after that i would get a decent map on the car, any advice would be gratefully received.

It all depends on how much you have to spend on the car
I've worked with a few companies that have developed the manifold for these cars when they 1st came out years ago and as they are not cheap to buy or fit as well

Hi thanks for your reply, i want to increase power to approx 560 bhp.I have removed rear cats and that has given me a small increase in power,as i work at an exhaust manufacturers the pipework is no problem what i didnt want to do is to remove the top cats and run the car decatted if this is going to give me problems. I had considered removing top cats, which i believe are 220 cell and building a system with 2 x 150 cell race cats, any advice would be graefully received.
