Hi new to this, i need advice for my 330d coupe!!

I want it to have a little more kick and i know you dont get that same kick in diesels as you would with petrol!! I need it to beat a freinds 2003 M3!! Or atleast give him a run for his money but i dont want to get screwed in loosing alot of mpg's?!

So im thinking of getting it remapped, ive looked online and theres loads of places which offer different services but who do i go with and what do i get done?! I need somewhere reliable and someone who knows what they're doing!

Another reason i need this doing is because unfortunately i have a diesel particle filter, the warning light keeps flashing, had the sensors checked an they're working perfectly fine, was advised to go on long motorway runs so it can burn up all the crap inside so i went to london and back several times and yet its still flashing!!

From what i understand if i were to get it remapped they would remove this filter saving me from having to fork out £1,500 to get it replaced?!

Can someone please advise what are the different options i could go for?!

    Thanks

I would get a new friend, even with a remap you're not going to complete with a M3. You need to get the problems sorted on your car before you think of a remap. There are far more gains to be made remapping a Diesel than a Petrol. A Diesel is a Motorway cruiser and not a racer so methinks you have the wrong car for what you want. Try racing the M3 over a couple hundred miles then you might gain a bit when he has to stop for Petrol!
    Is this for real??

Ive raced the m3 before and i have managed to keep up with it i jus want to get it remapped so its got more grunt on setting off!

The DPF is not causing any issues except the light coming on?! I dont know whether to get it taken out or just replaced would it make a difference?!

If you don't mind the travelling, then go and see BWchiptune, Jason will sort things out for you.

Sorry, I disagree :p Up until recently I have completely misjudged diesels. They have some serious pulling power. I think OP can certainly give his M3 buddy a run for his money after a remap.

Can't wait to hear about the results after your remap OP.

My car is, as standard, likely as fast as you'll realistically make a 330d 'with a remap'.

My car is not as 'fast' as an E46 M3.

I suggest you pick up a 335i and start with that. Or just learn to be happier with the size of your pe... Sorry, power curve.

You might as well burn your money if you're not going to sort that DPF out too.

Get the DPF sorted, you can clean them, there are guides on here.

Then get a remap from any one of the TRUSTED forum vendors on here
2013, Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, PDK, Sports Exhaust, Chrono, etc, etc

I've got a remapped 530d but I would need binoculars to see the back end of a M5 if I tried to keep up with it.
