You wont need one with the 320d 5 speed. Its the same clutch as the 330d of the same age I know because I have already changed mine and the kit was for the 330d. Not sure about the 6 speed model though

Got a lot going on at the mo. Little lass has been really poorly, she has had a stroke and she is epileptic. Not good! Mods so far are no cat, no dpf, swirl flaps have been removed and the egr. I have an aftermarket intercooler with all silicone hoses. And the hybrid turbo. Next mod is going to be sourcing high flow injectors and then i will save up for a map. Just been so busy recently with the family I haven't had time. I did change my rocker cover & fitted new hydraulic lifters the other day. Preventative maintenance more than anything. I would be happy with 230bhp if I'm honest although I know I can map more if I wanted to.

, is it the same for all 320d's? i have a 2009 m-sport coupe? i may seem abit stupid and unknowledgable and for that i apologise lol its my first bmw and am really itching to push it over the 200bhp milestone. my ideas are to fit a custom exhaust, something with a little more grumblyness and then i noticed your thread.

All bmw cars have the same engine and power... I.e. 320d m sport or not is the same power as non m sport...the m sport is the trim, suspension and wheels package. The later model to mine 03 onwards, although having the same base power as mine, it can be mapped to 217 approx on standard oem engine and equipment. Where as mine can only be tuned to 187 or thdre abouts without other engine mods. Yours could be tuned further than that. I believe it is 160-170 standard. Its just down to more precise fuelling.

The main difference is yours having an electronic actuator. Being very precise with disassembly and reassembly you could do this with any turbocharged diesel with a variable vane. Although I have heard of fixed vane diesel turbos too. Mondeo and such.. in such instances you wouldn't need to he precise at all! But being a BMW it will definitely be a variable vane.

200 bhp is achievable on standard engine's of your year. Infact beyond that is. If you were to do all the mods I have you could see close to 300... although people reading this know that the bhp figure isnt the important one. . The torque is however! A shade over 200bhp is enough to leave most 300bhp petrol engined cars at the lights leaving them with their nose out of joint a little.

Very true with that, I know a guy with 330d and it's had 335d injectors, fmic, hybrid turbo and diff, it is pushing out 345bhp and 600+Nm of torque. It is quicker then a e39 m5 can't wait to see what mine is like, I have tried to contact the flea bay company but no reply :-/ any suggestion's ?

I am sorry to hear about your lass hope she gets better soon.

Is that bloody engine of yours still running after the crank replacement? you are indeed the master of extreme DIY mechanics

Maybe try giving them a bell?

The first original 335d when mapped is faster than the m3 of the same age up to 120mph
