Just sold my Impreza and have got another BMW after loving my old E36 325i.

Got a 97' 328i Sport this time and it a needs a bit of tidying up but its in pretty good shape for what i paid for it.

I know that the 328's have a very restrictive inlet so want to sort that out to give it a bit more power. I need to know whether the 325i inlet is a straight fit or is there some modding i can do the 328i inlet to bring it up to scratch?

Also will the ecu be able to handle the change/modding of the inlet or will it require a new map or chip ?

Planning on fitting a B&M carbon fibre induction kit that i had on my old fiesta and then getting an exhaust system and leaving it at that tuning wise. Hoping that will release a nice bit of power and make it sound alot better.

Also i need to source some std springs or some that lower it by a small amount as it is stupidly low at the moment and it proper does my head in!

The M50 manifold is the way forward, however it needs modification to fit. The easiest and recommended way is to buy a pre-modified one from forum member Alpina527. There's plenty of more info on the mod if you perform a search.
