Starting the car up this morning (not that cold) it started ok then went very strange and started idle very roughly with the needle jumping 3,000rpm and then back down to normal. It only lasted a couple of seconds if that. Any idea what it could be?

has it done it since? ever done it before? was everything ok afterwards? Either way it may never happen again and not be worth thinking about.

happened once before, car was fine afterwards. Its only happened since I had a new stainless steel back box fitted, could this have something to do with it?
