Or buy the 204bhp version and simply remap it??????
Celtic tuning claims that their remap alone without any other modifications will get 240 hp out of the 184... So I think that with an intercooler and 335 injectors that 270 would be easy...

But as others have said the rest of the car won't take that with out serious modifcation.

You can squeeze a great deal of power out of that lump but it will just end up as an overtuned ticking wallet bomb waiting to bankrupt you

I'm here for a good time not a long time

Save your money for the 204bhp which runs a dde5 edc16 Ecu
Tuned write these will give a m5 e39 a bit of s hard time from 40-80mph as the torque you can get from them

The 184bhp which has a dde4 edc15 ecu is good for about 230ish any think more will make them smoke alot

I think you'd do well to drive a 'normally' remapped 184 and 203bhp 330d. Honest question, have you done so?

Setting yourself an arbitrary power target of 300hp might be a bit silly. I'll tell you for nothing that a 230bhp diesel feels a lot faster than a 230bhp petrol in the same chassis. I'd be lying if I said that I have ever needed to use all of the power in ours in order to make seriously swift progress. It'll dispatch most things at 2/3rds throttle, and that's not even 300hp :(

If it's willy waving you want then go for it - I've no issue with that. But just seriously ask yourself if you really need to create this performance and financial monster you're set on

    typical sweetshop window mentality...

and i dare say another kleenex inducing, problematic sludger money pit debacle on the forum eventually...
