    Hi all,

I'm about to remap my 330d and was wondering if there were any other worthwhile mods?

e.g. from experience with other (petrol) vehicles upgrading the air filter is a good cost effective upgrade.
Has anyone here tried this upgrade, if so what brand of air filter did you use?

Is there anything else that people would recommend?

    Thanks,
    Danny

    I'm in a similar boat, I've got a 330d remapped to 240bhp.

Just put Grooved/Dimpled discs on her and redstuff pads. Was getting sick of all the brake dust and the squeal from the OEMs. Hard acceleration = hard braking = lots of dust lol.

Looking at strut braces right now.

A shock has gone, so I'm considering a set of M3 shocks, (if they'll fit)

I'd like a new Air filter myself. Also considering some cosmetic stuff, powder coating my MVII's black is playing on my mind, and even a little carbon wrap would be nice....

Apart from that, it's flaps out, Vortex crank case breather, etc etc.

I've done more preventative work on this car than actual "mods" lol.

I don't think swirl flaps are an issue on the newer (E90 onwards) diesel engines???? May be wrong though..

    UPDATE: http://www.bmwswirlflaps.co.uk/swirl_flaps.html

Looks like E90 onwards are ok.. 1 less thing to worry about

To be fair, it's not much, (only had her 2 months) but still more than the mods I've done!

    Swirl Flaps
    Crankcase
    EGR clean

    Compared to my mods of...

    New brakes.

    lol.

i treat her like a princess too, let the fuel pump whir up before ignition every single time, maximum warm up - cool down times, never dropped her off a curb.

Still got a busted shock (possibly) to sort out and a few other bits too.
