    has anyone put a performance chip on there car ? do they make a differance ? what about the warranty ? and does the fuel economy alter.and if so what is the best one to fit .

    To answer your questions:

    You would need a custom remap doing on your car.

    yes they do work! approx 15% increase in peak power is a good average

    Fuel economy improves normally

    Engine Warranty is void if BMW find out....but they cant tell with some devices, you just remove a 'black box' before taking it in

    i have a van aken tuning box on my 330d
    tuning boxes that are sold by a reputable company DO NOT void waranty
    the reason for this is bmw sell a tuning box themselves in germany
    you can see up to 25% torque increase from some boxes and without a doubt at least 10-15% fuel economy increase
