    Hi Guys,

I've a bit of a dilemma on my hands at the moment. I have been researching heavily into both the Juicebox and the remap.

    I have the following options:

    Angel tuning remap
    AMD Tuning remap
    or
    Juicebox4

All of these products give similar gains, apart from th JB4 which supposedly gives another 10-15bhp ontop of Angel or AMD's figures.

Can anyone offer any advice, or first hand experiences with any of these products. Another aspect I'd like to question is the reliability post-remap on a 335i, any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Laurence

Is the Juicebox just a direct box you connect to the engine?

If it is they I wouldnt touch it with a barge pole. They dont change all the characteristics that a REMAP does. Remap (done right) is well worth it.

As far as I'm aware the juice box plugs into the electronic loom located at the far left hand side of the engine bay.

Can you recommend a tuning company to carry out a remap, do you have first hand experience?

Where in the country are you? If you are in the south-east of the country then give me a shout on 07738236577. If you are further north then there are the others on here to choose from.
Oh and I can certainly extract the max from your car if that is what you want.

Had my 335i done last week by M V Sport, still getting used to it but its definatley a lot lot faster, in fact i reckon its almost as quick as my 997s.

They reckon on 380 bhp and 520 ft lb with the exhaust as well.

I dealt with Mike at MV Sport, nice guy and knows his stuff.

I'd recommend the juice box over a remap as it offers alot more features, tune-ability and is much more flexible for future modifications. Also you can take it off and sell it when you change cars.

I used to think a remap was the better option but the JB4 is much more than a normal plug in tuning box. After lots of research I went with the juice box. If I had to chose a remap though then I would probably go with Evolve.

defo a remap, personally i would never go with a plug-in, go with a good bmw tuner with good rep who will give you better driveability and not just max power

The juice box is very smooth (better than stock in fact), they're much more popular than remaps over in the US and can't be compared to tuning boxes you might have experience of.

Additional features include switchable maps using the steering wheel controls, fault code reading and clearing, in dash boost gauge, custom maps, data logging, cold engine protection and more.

    Hi,

Where abouts in the country is that?

    Eddyh,

How was the JB to install - easy or difficult? Where did you purchase yours from?
