    Hi guys
i'm planning to get my 6er's exhaust modification done,
I've seen many, many videos of 130i, 328i, 330i, 530i (N52B30 engine based models like mine) exhaust mods on youtube, and frankly speaking i'm not quite sure if any of this video would actually sound similar in real life..
I was thinking about getting it straight piped since I want it to be loud but then videos sound like they tend to be just loud and noisy rather than growling like BMW Performance exhausts.
this video might give you an idea of what rumbling sound of straight 6 is like

Then I realised, other cars with emptied OEM exhaust (cutting pipes inside the back boxes and putting back on creating sort of a straight pipe) sound quite similar to Performance exhaust
like this one (it may be slightly different since it's 335i but similar)

Also, while I was looking at some pictures at real OEM website, i realised i have an exhaust system with resonator in the middle of pipes like X.
So maybe creating X pipe by deleting resonator and installing Middle or full custom back box might create good sound? But worried if deleting resonator might cause too much bass in cabin?

    Right, so here's a summary,

    1. I am not sure of what kind of exhaust modification would give me a satisfaction. Do you reckon engineers at shop can manage to get the sound i want if I show them the video and just tell them what I want?

    2. I'm not going for MIJ after hearing some horrible stories..
I asked Midlands exhaust for quote, they gave me 220quid for straight piping, 450quid for straight piping with twin exhaust each side (apparently it doubles the price cus they need to cut the bumper a bit) 550 for custom exhaust with twin tips each side, Do they sound about right?

    3. Torqueflow seems to have a good rep, anybody tried them before?

Any opinions, ideas or info will be appreciated,
    thanks a lot guys

    thanks lewy,
i will be on my way to torqueflow tomorrow, gonna get middle box deleted (X pipe) and change the back boxes to free flow.. will see..
regarding the MIJ, i heard so many bad stories including yours, seems like they're getting lazy after having a number of customers,,
i hope you get yours sorted out soon, im gonna try my best to make my straight 6 sound similar to yours,,
