    Hi All,

    Have recently purchased a E46 330D and im looking to get it remapped, i wondered if you could point me in the direction of a good company in the west midlands, staffordshire area?

    It'll be £265 from me, and I'd come over to carry that out for you as you aren't too far away.
    You'd get an extra approx 35bhp, so up to about 240 assuming you have the 204 bhp version, and also a diagnostic scan to make sure the car is running OK.
    I'd expect it to take about 2-3 hours but evenings and weekends are usually fine.

    Thanks for the reply mate, it sounds good, sorry about my lack of knowledge but does the mpg decrease after a remap? also i have an auto box do these boxes normally cope with the extra power? sorry about the questions mate just want to get a bit of better picture. thanks chris

    Yep, the autoboxes will cope with it, and you will see an increase in mpg, maybe 1-2 if you aren't always driving it as hard as possible.
    Autoboxes do have their own problems, the most common one is from electrical wiring inside breaking up, or solenoids stopping working.
