Did you follow any instructions anywhere?
The light will be on saying the EGR has been bypassed!

On a very similar but slightly different question..... Instead of fitting a bypass, I know some people have taken the vacuum pipe off.
Is it actually as simple as taking it off the valve & blocking the pipe with a screw or equivalent?? the valve itself where the pipe attaches is ok i assume, as the valve won't operate due to absence of the pipe? Bit of a brain dead question I know, but hey, it's me!!
