    Hi,

Been browsing through schmiedmann's website and came across Aluminium Turbo pipes.

    http://www.schmiedmann.es/1_series/e...e11.htm#paging

The question is are they beneficial? or pointless?

    Regards,
Done: M Sport Kit, Angel Eyes, Tinted Rear LED Lamps, Remap, Exhaust, 130i front discs and calipers, VMR VB3 alloys, Eibach Pro-kit springs, Thermostat, Aux water pump, Rear View mirror replaced
On the to do list: iPod Integration, ICE, replace passenger side door mirror, change passenger seat heating element ... Maybe sell the car

Pointless, you already have two aluminium where required and two rubber hoses to allow the engine to move in the engine bay on its mounts.

In most cases things like aftermarket pipes and air filters make no difference on a diesel unless you start changing turbos etc.

It you need more power get a remap

Leave as it is then unless you want to fork out loads on a new turbo setup

The trouble is once you start pushing the stock drive train too hard it all dies, the DMF is the first to go followed by the diff mounts and propshaft.

Was you start down the route of going beyond stock it gets very very expensive, better just to spend the money on a 335d or similar
