    Hi Folks,
I've had my e60 535d remapped. I'm happy with the results....the car is rapid!!!. I've taken in to a rolling road and it came out at 284 bhp which i thought was a bit low but i imagine the main gains have been in the torque.

my question is what other mods could i make to the car to squeeze a bit more bhp or torque out of it...air filters???...exhaust systems???. I'm not really that experianced with car mods but if there is anyone out there who knows about this i'd be interested to hear what people think i could do / what gains i could expect and how much would it cost??

    many thanks

dude. where did you take it to get the RR? I thought you could not dyno and auto or you get inaccurate results??

How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking??? Cheers! Red.

    hi mate,
i took it to wallace performance in aberdeen. they did tell me that they could not give me a torque reading from an auto car but they could give me bhp...so it came out at 284...cost about £60 for the rr

no couldn't....even in the manual / sports mode the car will still change up a gear if it want to...you don't have true manual control over the gear changes. i asked them to do this...they did and it made no difference

i thought the same as you buddy

was it just put on the rolling road then, coz remap is a lot more then that, thats just the cost of a rr run,

u could try, full exhaust system, an sports manifold, better air filter, then a chip or re-map,

no...i had it remapped from a different company....when i drove it after the remap there was an improvement without doubt. it pulled away from round about in normal gear mode much better and as it goes through the gear there seems to be a lot more wheel spin!!!!!!...it's fast but going by the gains that everyone quotes after a remap i just thought that the 284 bhp was a bit low. i'm probably feeling the increase in torque.

so to answer your question...the 60 quid was just for the rr..the re-map cast was separate from a different company

so 335compact. How much would i expect to pay for full exhausts / sports manifolds etc and how much gains??...it's a 535 m sport but not sure what that would mean with regard to changing the exhaust and manifold etc

i dont really know a lot about that car, but changing the manifold an zorst to get more air out, an air filter to get more air in, should make a noticeable differance, but i would say a re map after to set the car up with the new mods would help,

i dont know if u can get bigger injectors, could always go for a bigger turbo,

sorry no idea what prices would be
