I just came across a thread on driftworks of someone with an E46 325ti compact with an E46 M3 LSD fitted.. how much of a job is this?

I see you can get a decent used part for £400 ish, what else is needed?

Do you need the M3 prop or driveshafts? obviously the prop would need shortening so that would be a pain..

Still.. could be a cheaper alternative to a quaife LSD which is about £1200 all in!

Could be a mod I'd consider as I'd imagine acceleration would be significantly improved over standard? or am I wrong???
