    They certainly will be there for a reason. The ECU will be programmed with the curve of airflow to signal voltage, which is the very reason some MAFs need to be "coded"
    The MAF itself isn't programmed, but the ecu is recalibrated for a different airmass/volt curve.

    following your advice, i have removed both my MAFs and replaced with them electric superchargers off fleabay i now have ultimate performance engine. thanks. only thing is it won't start? can you help?
