hi been talking to a local bmw specialist as my clutch is starting to get a little worn out(too high on bite for my liking) and i was wondering if anyone knows much about the 4cylinder n42 series engine namely if the flywheel can be lightened by a qualified engineering firm,or is it a weak component? as i figured as the price was cheap and the clutch is coming off would be a nice little performance gain in real driving terms...

The monkeys keep making me drift......

The car has a dual mass flywheel so it can't be lightened, you'd need a new flywheel that has been lightened, something like a JB racing item.
