    Hi Guys,

Car is 2003 330i Sport Touring 5 speed manual.

Any of you had the remap done and if so was it worth it, figures show little improvement in bhp and torque, just wondering if mpg was improved and general driving experience.

Have not had car long, all appears fine, returning 25.4 mpg at the minute, feedback appreciated.

    John.

It doesn't have the same sort of power gains as a diesel, so you don't get the same bragging rights down the pub about the top figures, but it will tighten up the feel of the car, marking it feel much sharper.

    i noticed no difference.

i had mine remapped, a full stainless exhaust, and carbon airbox induction kit (all at different times) and i noticed no gain in power from any of them.

people say on here how good the power gains are, but i really do think its all in there heads more than anything, there is no doubt there is a difference but it is small.

are you already running it on 99 octane fuel? if not change, that will probably have a bigger difference than a re-map.

Thanks for replies so far, any other 330i owners had remap, does appear not to be much difference, running the car on 99 octane, will probably take you up on the offer Mike early in the new year when all this snow has gone.

I know don't own a 330 but i had my 318is remapped and i noticed the power difference. The throttle response is much sharper, revs a lot quicker and there are no flat spots. I had Jason form BW chiptune do mine, i asked him about this situation where people with 330's are not noticing the difference after a remap and he said it's down to tuners over tuning the car where you won't notice no power gain and most likely lose power. Hope this helps.
