Went to a reasonably local place on a recommendation of my mate who has had his 320d remapped with excellent results.

Like many tuners, the guy offered try before you buy, so I did. He used Dimsport hardware and sent the map away a couple of times for 'tweaking'

    Waste of time.

Got him to put my original map on, gave him 20 quid for his time (really nice bloke struggling through hard times!)

Went to my local shell garage, stuck a tank of optimax in and felt the difference.

    Job done.

how did you find it a waste of time
too much time taken or not a noticable difference in the car after it had been mapped?

Ha Ha! I wasn't trolling Mike but I thought you might be along..........

Trouble is you are too bloody far away!

I really didn't feel any difference at all. Mine goes pretty well anyway I think but I seriously couldn't justify £175 for the small improvement (mainly smoothness) that I felt. I really wanted an improvement in 2nd-3rd but despite really studying the before and after and taking my time I really didn't notice any worthwhile improvement.

Mike - are you saying your maps show a really noticeable improvement? Can you be specific?

Worth it though Mike, that guy I was talking to from the publishers was saying you transformed his 330i
2013, Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, PDK, Sports Exhaust, Chrono, etc, etc
