Apologies if a repost, just after some info

Mate sent me this link for a chip for my car, but as you can tell i'm a bit dubious on this !

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

If any of you guys have any info on this it would be very appreciated

    Thanks

Your car will most likely be better off with a remap rather than installing a new chip. Do a search for remaps. It will explain more!

Without sound rude it would be a good idea to make a bucket of sloppy porridge and bury you mates head in it until he repeats 10 times "I will never insult a straight 6 again"

seriously though... My localish Indy guy was telling me about more and more cars coming in for repair where people have bought the dreaded eBay chips and eBay scanners, I've had mine re-mapped and would say spend the extra and get it done by the professionals, you'll be smiling even more when you press the throttle

Don't worry it's not something i would fit to my car, just curious about the chip.

Seen similar for the V6 Calibra but never saw any bad feedback and all it seem to do was raise the rev limiter !

    Cheers for the info guys

As mike says "just don't do it!" There is Myself (APTuning), motechmike and Emaps all here at your disposal and you get a members discount. We all try to give the best maps that we can as it's obviously not good for business especially on a forum! If we start selling poor quality maps.
Do a search on the forum here and take your pick of who you would like to use. We're all ready to help you.
    Best regards,
    Darren@APTuning

A re-map is on the cards, just got to save up and hide the money before the missus sees it

Thanks to the good advice I got ere last year I avoided putting in a fleabay chip. Was wondering if there are any reputable mappers in belfast area??
I did call with "west coast customs" in lisburn but they are a strange lot, and dont inspire me with confidence.
