    Hi. Just wondering if anyone has removed the catalytic converters on their E46 330 and if so what kind of power gains am I looking at.

    The 330 has 4 cats, 2 built into the manifold and 2 in the downpipes. Now i can't back this up but i have heard for a couple of different people that they are high flow low cell cats anyway. Don't know if you'll gain much by removing them. then theres the M.O.T. issue.

    Don't think they have this problem in Karachi

    i think you'll be looking at 5-6 bhp tops. but take into consideration that due the fact that your car has 4 lambdas (2 before the cats, and 2 after), the check engine light will pop-up. so you'll also need a pair of "cats-simulator" to attach to the lambdas after the cats.

    dont think its really worth the time involved doing the job for what possible gain you may get

    not exactly.. i mean, there's not so many easy mods for a NA engine, so every little bit helps. i did it, and i'm pretty satisfied.
