I have just had the CDV valve removed today what a difference it makes the car is so much better to drive its no longer jerky and hard to hold the revs. I would definatly recomend this to anyone :thumbsup
I got one of my dads friends to do it who owns a garage it cost me 40quid its dead easy as it on the bottom of the gearbox so it wouldnt cost much from anywhere i would have thought
Cool. Do normal E46's have those shields below the gearbox - or is it just the M3's? This might be this coming weekend's task - I never knew about the CDV, but I experience all the symptoms. I bought the gearchange bushes a couple of weeks ago, so they'll be done at the same time
I think there is some sort of sheild under the gearbox but i could be wrong. It will be even better for you if you track daying your car its tonnes nicer to drive now
Haha thats what you want the element of suprise when you go past their saxo vts like its in reverse then they realise its not debadged because its a 318 lol
You don't need a modified one on the E46 - just take it out, and join the hose & pipe back together without it. E46's stretch fine, some other's don't as it's pipe to pipe.
