Not sure of the vortex price, I've seen someone simply snap off the swirl flaps and stick a bolt in instead, which saves the money of the blanking plates which are a bit fancy for what they are, but it is a ready to go kit.

There isn't much point in an airfilter, the car will boost itself to a certain level automatically. If it needs more air, it'll pull it in itself.

No need to worry in regards to installing a de-cat pipe before the MOT as a friend of mine tells me that Diesels don't have to go through the same type of emissions test as petrol vehicles do, so it will pass with a de-cat pipe. BUT! just to be sure I would check it out, or if anyone on here knows better then please correct me.

Yeh decats are fine on Diesels, UK MOT currently has a basic "Smoke Test" for sludgers rather than the more sophisticated
    emissions test petrol vehicles have...http://www.dvtani.gov.uk/uploads/cus...CATleaflet.pdf

Decat prior to remap tho, I'm sure the the tuners will agree

Yeah de-cat first just so it can be taken into account within the map.

smnwllms, Ive got a 320d Compact.... same colour as yours

Ive recently had mine remapped by Simon from E-Maps... highly recommended! If I was you I'd do what I done... Drive the car for a few months then get the car Remapped... Its like having a new car!

3rd Gear now boosts like 2nd Gear and the car feels lively in every gear!

Definately get the Swirl Flaps + Vortex done. Their pretty straight forward jobs following those guides!

    Hey Compact!
I've had mine since September, so I'm really looking forward to the improvements a remap offers.
I'll be doing the Flaps & Vortex next weekend.
Just keeping my eye out for a decat pipe. I've seen them on eBay for £150, but I'm always on the look out for a bargain.
