    Hey guys

I'm stinking about getting a cat-back Scorpion system for my E46 318i...i'm sure it will make little difference to my BHP, but i'd say i'm doing it for the sound more so.

Just wondering if it is a easy job to fit DIY? Are there any guides available, and also if i was to take the system to a garage to fit how much can i expect them to charge me to fit it?

Also is the cat-back system the one right for me?

IIRC they only do the rear silencer for the 318i.

Best decision you'll make choosing Scorpion though. I would not use anything else

Check out motechmike, one of our forum vendors as he supplies Scorpion exhausts and does discount for forum members

The rear silencer...would it be worth it then or pointless?

    Cheers mate

    Excellent!

    Is it this one?

    316i/318i (E46) 98- MONACO £227.19 R/B £266.95 H/S
    Inc. Cabrio, Touring, Coupe
    £227.19 R/B?

Also how much do you rekon would be a fair price to pay someone to fit it?

If you know someone in the trade then I would say a couple of beers would do the job

If not..... Why not? You need to know these people

You don't have to like them

It's not a big job, any local exhaust centre will fit a rear box in about 15-20 mins 30 mins maximum

Do you have any independent tyre and exhaust centres near by? Sometimes fitters can be tempted with a few notes

The part number you've listed looks correct to me

Also seen here http://www.scorpion-exhausts.com/Car....php?model=235 states rear silencer only

Looks Like another thing on the to do list! Damn i need a bigger bank balance!

If i wanted to fit it myself...well...can i? I'm a total n00b when it comes to cars, but I'am good at following instructions(build my own pc's etc etc)...

its not hard to fit, couple of bolts holding the rear section to front, rubber hanger in the middle and at the rear, if you take a min to look at how it is fitted then you should have no problems taking it off and fitting a new one.
if you have limited tools and the bolts look like they may snap and cause you grief then its better you take it to a garage.
