I feel that my wee compact could do with some extra grunt... i know i should just get a new car with a bigger engine but its my first car and insurance is through the roof so thats out the question..

Dont have big bucks but just something to give me more torque would be good just doesnt want to pull at low revs..

Just getting a new inlet camshaft sensor coz mines duff so hopefully the car will feel a bit smoother...

    Thanks for any suggestions..

i have virtually the same car and i feel it fairly Quick. However it does need help at Pull Off.

erm the only thing i could think of at the top of my head. Is to get a new induction Kit/Air filter. That could add just a couple of horses i think. But other than that mate i'm clueless

The well Known filters i think are:
    KN Filter
    green filter
    Gsr
    Pipercross

full stainless exhaust with manifold, ecu chip, re-map, forced air induction, fast road camshaft, maybe all or most available for your budget.

if its insurance thats an issue then do not modify the car
if you dont tell your insurers that you have performance mods and your car is caught up in somebody elses accident, there is a good chance you wont get weighed out.
stick to a remap (undetectable, unless they have reason to dig deeper)
and save your dough until you have enough ncb to afford a 6 pot
    what i've felt,what i've known
never shined through in what i've shown.

Balderlfc (I think is his name) the fella with the blue compact and mV1's; recommended a green cotton filter to me at about £66 . Supposed to be worth trying.
