I'm in the process of replacing my '03 330d with an '04 330d. mecahnically the cars are identical, the old car had a remap, not sure what it was, previous owner claimed it had 265 bhp and I can quite believe it, the performance was explosive compared to the new one. The old 330d performed more like my M5 than the new 330d.
The new car is un-mapped, totally standard, what remap should I go for, I'm probably more looking for performance tha economy, the 42-44 mpg the old car did was fine for me.
I'm in North Hampshire (Camberley, so any recommendations for a company that isn't at the other end of the country would be fine.

Jason at BWchiptune got my e60 530d to 279bhp on a balanced map - also got my m8s 535d to the 350bhp mark - worth a bell m8

I would second Jason my 530d is 280bhp and that's a medium remap.

you'll have to forgive Jason at BWchiptune as he gets extremely busy! I'm a dealer for him and know what he's workload is like at times. Maybe try calling him directly on 07831103030, it's far easier and quicker to talk on the phone.

So yesterday I met with Jason and we went through phase one which was to dyno the old car.
The results were impressive with just short of 270 bhp and a torque figure I don't really understand but better than my e39 M5.
Jason is a gentleman and his new workshop is very impressive, I loved listening to the Morgan Aero8 on the dyno..

Stage 2 will be to put Jason's similar map on the one new car and re-dyno, I'm expecting over 270bhp and a smoother torque curve, I'll let you know what Jason achieves for me when it's done.

For anyone thing of buying a 330, go diesel and get it mapped, the standard car is OK, but you can get performance that will beat a petrol 330 at every level from a diesel.
