    what would i gain by having a straight pipe fitted no boxes , from the cat back?

    been quoted 80 quid for it in stainless any advice?

    any gains ect?

    I replaced the cat pipe on my old 320d (136bhp) for a 'de-cat' system off eBay - (basically because the original was knackered & it was a cheaper replacement)
    It was basically just a stainless steel pipe with a semi-flexible joint, and a straight swap.
    I found it was not any louder, but it did make a small but noticable difference to the performance, when combined with an EGR Bypass valve.
