I've just picked up 330Ci Sport Coupe and I wondered if anyone can recommend some obvious performance uprades such as induction and exhaust etc.

I have to say that my biggest motivation is noise as it's so quiet I have to watch the clocks to change up - I can barely hear the engine!! BUT I wouldn't want to just buy the cheapest loud exhaust I can find - that would be a bit naff - it needs to actually do something. Also, I don't want stupid loud - just audible!

    Thanks

Always got for a remap? You won't get fantastic gains on a 330i but it will improve the throttle response and make the car even smoother to drive. And I of course can sort out a good price for you. call me on 07930410102 if this is of interest to you.

apart from the re-map as ap-tuning says....i wouldnt mess with your engine...its not woth it mate..i hav had two induction kits(both now removed)am back too stock..and the exhaust is stainless steel anyway and an nw exhaust alone wont give you value for money gains...even my re-map went backwards...now getting 23mpg and still siting at 231 bhp...oh that wasnt ap tunings re-map...it was angel tuning up my way..just be careful wo your doing as you could actually lose performance....you want noise?hit country roads and drop the gears...youll hear lovely noise!!

doesnt the 330ci have atleast 2 cats? so you could maybe ditch one and i also heard about replacing the 2 cats with mini cooper s cats if anyone can shed some light on this.

im considering a new exhaust, panel filter and maybe the removale of a cat/ replacement cats so i will keep an eye on this....

I'm trying to get the, stuck shut!!, exhaust valve open at the moment - bloody thing's only had one pipe since I bought it!

I'm probably going to end up having to crudely remove it as it's well and truly stuck and is bending with a hammer and chisel (I did say crude). It's about a third open at the moment.

rich, the one exhaust of the twin pipes has a flap in it that opens at higher revs, i believe it is there simply to reduce noise, if you remove it you will get both pipes to be active at lower revs
