    Good day fellow BMW owners

    I have a BMW e46 318 with the N42B20, 2L engine.
My car is 2002 model and it has 90k kms.

I have been wondering for the last couple of days, my car looks great but I want a little bit more power. The car has M-Tech kit and the basic cosmetic mods like clear corners and is very very well maintained and in perfect shape.

Since this engine only came in Europe(I'm in Iceland by the way), I thought this was the right place to throw this question in.

I want more power(and please don't say buy 325 or 330), this engine will never be POWERFUL but what small things can I do to make it MORE powerful than it it is right now?

Is anybody here with this engine who has tuned it or made some modifications to boost it?

Thanks, hoping for good and wise answers

in a nutshell there is nothing you can do realistically with an N42 engine there is no hidden gems power wise..

unless you bolt a supercharger on it even then its near impossible to perfect because of the valvetronic..
330i sport a big chunk of berlin...

    Yeah I thought so :(
It would probably be cheaper than the SC to drop an engine from 330 to the car as it is almost plug and play. Right?

not really its cheaper to buy a 330 in the first place and stick the 318 badge on it.. ..
