    hi guys im new to this forum, i got a 2002 318ci just wanted to know if theres some way i can increase the power, are there any re-mapping options available for this model or are they only for larger engines????

    I would think mapping is an option - I would guess around about 5-7% increase in performance but as a general most maps improve how smooth the engine revvs.

    To be totally honest, and most people don't like this option but:

    NOS kit - with a throttle position swtich and minimax controller you could see up to 35-45bhp increase - Usually kits cost around the area of £600 but still worth it in power per pound ratio compared to anyother option.

    Get the car to rev more..

    A good cold air filer and a cat back system will do that car wonder's !

    I looked up remaps for my 2004 318ti with the 2.0L and got a quote for £275 with something like 15-20 bhp and similar tourqe, Im not sure if the 2002 has the 2.0L though?

    Not sure on years but I know the 318 E46 came in a 2.0 140bhp version?

    Increases around 10bhp and 10lb/ft

    Or the E46 1.9 118bhp

    Increases around 8bhp and 8lb/ft
    1st> 2004 Seat Ibiza 1.2
    2nd> 2005 Seat Ibiza 1.9TDI FR
    3rd> 1991 VW Polo Coupe 1.3
    4th> 1990 Honda CRX Del Sol
    5th> 1998 BMW E36 328
