Supercharger kits are always very expensive. For 5k, you could probably get and fit an M5 V8 into it.

    Remap will help buddy.

Don't get me wrong won't add a huge amount but will certainly make a positive difference and make it more fun to drive.

As I was told when I asked about tuning my previous car (316ti, 1.8 N42 engine).. save your money and get something with a bigger engine.. I know have 325ti (2.5 M54 engine) and I'm happy

Exhausts, remaps, CAIs.. none of it comes cheap, and improvements will be minimal!

Remap is your best option to improve driveability, it's not going to make a huge difference though

Sell your car and buy a high mileage e46 330cd, Remap for about £400 you will go from 181bhp to nearly 230bhp on the remap alone.. Basically the remap will be approximately 40% increase in bhp..

I drive a nice 316ti with that s*** pot engine they use boasting flipping 115bhp valvetronic that I will sell in a couple of yrs for a nice M3.. My nan can run faster than my tank at the sweet old age of 73yrs old.. BMW's are heavy so small engines just don't work for them.
DO NOT BUY SMALL ENGINE CARS FOR POWER, ONLY ECONOMY!!.. That's why they make larger more powerful engines!!
