Prior to haveing a remap done on 2002 530d manual I am intending to clean the EGR valve and disconnect it. I think this will help some of the smoking I get on full throttle as well?
I understood the disconnection was as simple as removing a small black pipe that actuates the valve but I read on this part of the forum various chat about EGR bypass valves.
Do I need a bypass valve? Or is this the next step for performance after disconnection i.e. extra air flow as the obstruction of the EGR valve is removed.
Thanks is advance guys,
