I don't think there are any parts-bin-specials for your engine unlike the e26 328s.
There is a guy on here called Alpina527 who makes big bore throttle bodies, but i'm not sure if anything can be done with yours, as it's an electronic throttle.

You're 330 will be at about 230 bhp stock.

A tuned 328 (M50, bbtb, chip, CAI) should get to about 225-230bhp, although it'll make about 10% less torque. Performance wise, it'll be close-ish (assuming he's got a manual gearbox - the auto is slower).

If you get a decent CAI and have your car remapped, you'll make about 245bhp - so you should still have a second on your 0-60 time compared to your mate.

However, if he starts getting serious (3.15 ratio diff, US M3 cams, 330 crank conv, underdrive pulleys) then he can potentially reach 270bhp ...but, he would have spent more than the cost of an M3.

yea my mates going for a throttle and manifold upgrade for now, as i already put a CDI, MV2's and coilover kit on it, now he wants power gains and like i said, I cant b slower thers talk about light weight clutch, flywheel and drive shafts to get the power down quicker and shed a bit of fat. hi Ian,

Sounds about right mate as there is not an awful lot more that can be done with twin vanos M54 engines without going the supercharging route etc.

    Keep me posted
    cheers

bcm is very well made but doesnt fit properly..had contact with thier italian technichian and ended up sending it back for a refund..dave f or afe cold air intake come recommended tho dont bet on any good gains from kits alone..supercharging your talking anywhere from 50(gpower basic kit)too 100bhp(ess twinscrew 2)superchargers...expect quotes from 4-6k..if your only talking induction kits, exhaust etc..get these mods done before your remap
