Recently bought my new bmw and loving it, just want to know what induction kit would be appropriate for my engine i have done some research and i know that the m52 engine isnt the best when it comes to power gains through minor mods. i would say £300 will be my limit on this. cheers

You looking for power or sound? A lot of induction kits give naff all improvement on power. Personally I didnt care if I gained anything of not, I just love the tone change that the induction kit brought. I know you asked which was best so obviously you have idea in mind and are doing right to find out more, but often, induction kits result in less power. Bang for buck, they are likely a bad move in terms of value if thats as far as you intend to go.

yer i would have to say more tone change because i will have to spend big money to really see a decent performance change. I basically dont want any problems with the maf sensor either, i have heard there have been problems when oil on filter. your post said that they can result in less power is that through the heat of the engine getting to the filter.
