I currently have a 320 dse on a 2001 plate 150 bhp model. I've fitted a full stainless exhaust and I'm due to get it chipped end of month. I've been toting with the idea of making it a track car but know I will need more power ie different turbo cams etc.
Can anybody help me by advising what turbo cams are available out there.
Any help will be better than no help cheers?

    Hi Baz,

Can't say I've ever seen cam upgrades for diesels.? I could be wrong.
You could check Schrick/Cat Cams etc to see if there is anything available.

Can you get a downpipe for these like on the 530d's etc? might help turbo sppol up a bit quicker.
I would think a larger turbo & intercooler might be possible but again don't know much about it, Sorry can't help further.

Who you getting to do your remap in Edinburgh?

    cool

is he the one doing the remap for you also?
One of the forum vendors E-Maps is now covering Scotland also.

I'm sure you can check their forum shop or website for info on the mapping front if that helps.

i wouldnt recommend upgrading the turbo as diesels run on a low pressure turbo system even though diesel engines are usually stronger they lack the needs for increasing boost and you will need bigger injectors etc i would just go for the normal remap and gain about 15% more power without having to bolt new parts on.

effective way of gaining more use a FMIC, free flow exhaust 3" turbo back will do and a decent induction kit with a remap the tdi will feel like a new beast

Jack of all trades, master of them all

    GRP/Carbon fabricator
    iso 5817/asme9 Welder

    And level 2 customer service
It would be spiteful to put a jelly fish in a trifle
