The seller claims my m43tub19 engine power will be increased to 139HP, 212NM and fuel economy improved (!) by simply installing this chip.

    Is that even possible?

@Moderators. Can I link to the ebay page here?

    Your input will be appreciated

Estimates are on the high side (as with most stuff on ebay) and if does involve a lot of technical soldering on a chip with lots of very small legs.

    Thanks for responding TheEnd.

I am ok with a soldering iron, though no expert. I don't think I'd be confident working on my ECU at any rate, so I'd probably want it installed professionally.

Do you think an 'chip tune' or remap is going to benefit fuel efficiency at all?

Unlikely, there might be small gains, but I doubt you'd really notice them.
