    5 is the lever i am replacing, also part 7 is a must as it holds the shifter in place. then i have gone for part 14. You can change part 2, but that is tight on mine, so i don't think i need it!

    Cheers Vaux - is your 325 the same shifter as the one in the link that I posted up? There appear to be two set ups, a short shft (like the one I posted up) and a reinforced one.....bloody nightmare!

    I'll try and speak to BMW to get an idea as to what shifter I have etc.

    Planning on sorting this myself as my gear change is pretty sloppy so would be interested to see how you get on vauxfan. Been under the car and the selector rod and parts are a proper pain in the ass to get at, so not looking to forward to sorting it out.

    its not as bad as you think, just need tolift the car high enough!

    its feeling better the more i drive it, and if you are less agressive it go's into gear quite smoothly!
