Good stuff mate - make sure you get a how to done ! What were the parts that you needed in the end?

I'm going to sort out a clutch stop at the weekend as well to help speed the shift up.

I was looking at the throw and its not that long on my car (making me think that I may have the BMW short shift that RealOEM shows is available for my car). The thing that is making it worse is the 'baggyness' in the shift so I think I need to get the lower mechanism bushes sorted.

i get all my parts from www.bmminiparts.com per than oem, but always oem parts!, i did my clutch stop and was very happy with it!, i will do my how to when i get it, the sloppyness will be eliminated with the bush that the ball of the shift lever fits in.

Cheers Vaux, I thought that to get rid of the sloppyness in the shift I would need to change the push rod and related bushes (which need to be done from under the car).

Without sounding like too much of a chimp, is it just parts 5, 10 and 11 that are getting replaced ( http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...75&hg=25&fg=05 ).

    Cheers for your help.
