Watching a project soon on a 328 engine conversion and was wondering if there is any gains to have in fitting the exhaust system from the 325 330 as its a full twin exhaust as opposed to the single middle section of the 323/328, will it sound better? and will it bring out any horses or is that dreaming?, just trying to work out why bm went from twin to single and then back to twin again on these 6 pots!, if the single was to cut noise or fuel consumption then i would imagine putting twins back in will change the power delivery,,,,,,,,,,,, or am i talking balls, i would leave the manifolds and cats where they are, its just the single section i would like as a double.

    Didnt realise they were different...
Someone did mention to me once that the 328 'zorst is a bit bigger than the 323 one, but then that may have been "pub tuning"...

both the e46 323 and 328 were restricted a bit, so it will be part of that.

Yeah, had mine done a while ago, just after i got it, just out of morbid curiosity, and one of the other forums i'm on was having a day of rolling roads (i made up a dvd of the day for the guys!) and put down 181lb/ft and 180bhp (flywheel).
Might be worth getting it done and then any mods that you do you can see if its working.
My mates Z4 3.0 sounds fantastic and i've been thinking about the 3.0 E46 zorst and whether it would help breathing/uber sexy sounds...

    No mods what so ever.
Think i got a monday morning car! (which makes a change, usually i get a friday afternoon car!!)

We got a local RR to run a day, we got 10 guys together and i think it was £20/£30 for a power run. Noisy and scary, even more so when 8 of the other 10 were 200sx's with waaaaaay too much power.. (flames, overrun and generally LOUD!!!)

(i have a vid somewhere, i'll dig it out and youtube it)
