Thought about upgrading the rear anti roll bar, most manufacures have different sixes for there sportier models, so i thought that i would get an anti roll bar off a bigger model, i knew mine is 18.5/19mm thick, so i expected the larger engines to thicker hense tightening up the feel of the car!, well apparently they are all the same!, so looks like it may just be powerflex arb bushes instead. oh well!
Fronts if any 1 is intrested are 24mm thick! M3s are a couple of mil thicker.

The Eibach kit is pricey though - over £200 IIRC. You do see Alpina ones too, which would be as good.

There are some thicker-than-stock (18mm) ARB's out there, I always assumed they were from M-Tech chassis cars... But you're right, 90% of E46's seem to have an 18mm rear ARB.

does this mean vaux that you've come to the conclusion that your lower drivers side is down to a twisted anti-roll bar??

I've got my 10mm spring pad ready to fit on the weekend

do you know if the e46 compact has the same ARB's as the rest of the e46's??

i've never really thought to hard about that!, paddy had that experience and i've no reason to believe that thats what could be adding to mine! i have had the 10mm pad alone with the original 5mm pad fitted for a few months now, so cosmetically the car is now level(although that shouldn't really be the fix!as i can't imagine that 1 part should be spaced up and keep the designed ride charictaristics spot on, but hey seems out of sight out of mind, well nearly!)
The reason i was looking at arbs is i want mine to be a little tighter in the bends, she still seems to lean a little to much in corners, but i must admit i need the m sport dampers next as i know they are a little stiffer than the standard dampers, then i will look at powerflex rubbers for the arb.

But before all that i will be sorceing another rack from maybe a compact first.

Out of sight out of mind sounds good to me mate.. I've checked everything I can on my rear suspension setup and there's nothing obviously worn or bent etc.. so god knows why the drivers side is about 5-8mm lower!!

I have no reason to believe that a spring has ever snapped on the car either as the ones I took out when I fitted the eibach springs were both in excellent condition and were OEM with BMW tags on..

Only thing I can see causing the lean is a bent ARB so I am tempted to buy another one.. theres actually one off a 320td compact for £23 inc P&P so may be worth a go! would then have to get powerflex bushes for it aswell and would all soon add up..so if it didn't resolve my issue i'd be well p*ssed off!!
