Hi i'm new to bmw after having vauxhalls all my life, Hense the username,(i left it like that as i'm still a member on mig, and its easier to remember)
Any way my dad had 4 bm's during his time, and i finally decided i wanted the same! So i bit the bullet, threw caution to the wind and went from nowing everything about vauxhalls, to nothing about bm's, apert from the reputation, So i was very nervous when i parted with some cash for my 2000 reg 323ci, i did want a 328, or a 325 but the price seemed right. and so did all the extras it has.
So this leeds me to my original question.... what makes the 325 20+bhp more than the 323 when they are both 2.5's??
And what is the best mods for adding a little bit of hp? not the chips that quote 10-15 bhp, but in real terms give 5-6! you get the idea, any addvice please, thanks Mark.

323 is de-tuned version of 325. Only way to bring the ponies back is to re-program the ECU.

Have a look at the Bfuk vendor section and contact motechmike or Emaps, as they have deals for members

I believe the main difference is that a 323 has more torque whilst the 325 has more horsepower. So they are much the same when you get down to the bottom of it.

Is the 323 twin exhaust all the way from the front as well??

I believe torque is the same on both but 325 is 20bhp more?

Surely throttle body diameter/intake pipes/exhaust will be different between the two?
