    Thought i would start this thread after hijacking some 1 elses
    Below is a video i made of the steering wheel play, and couplin movement, as you can see the couplin seems to move with the wheel, but tha car wheels don't move! bmw say they have checked the rack, and that it is perfectly ok!

    rack may be fine...there seems to be a few bits where play could occur.
    i hope you can get this sorted as i know how niggly things like this get :(

    I've got a similar issue; although on mine, it only seems noticeable at higher speeds - two garages have looked at it and agree there is some play in the steering, but can't seem to find anything wrong - I know this doesn't help you, but I'd be interested to hear about anything you find.
