Well all stress is over (for me at least) for another year! car passed mot today, only advisery was the front two brake pipes, but i am toying with the idea of bigger brakes!, was looking at 2.8l at 300mm or 3.0l at 325mm, so might wait till i can find some calipers and then get the discs!
what do you guys think i should get? will the bigger discs be ok with my 2.3 servo etc?
Then i need to locate some m sport skirts and an m sport front bumper!
Work out what stering rack to get, and then when the time comes,,,,,the m52tub28. mmmmm
what size discs would you go for?

What's the budget for your brake upgrade? You could look at Brembo, BMW Performance, AP Racing, or StopTech upgrades . Btw, you have a detuned 2.5 litre engine

but if the price is right and i can get the calipers cheap, then i can get discs quite cheap for good 1s too!, also the plan is to get the 2.8 to swap in! then the brakes are already done.

and i would like to be able to stop better from 70mph. lol.

Grats. To upgrade your brakes for minimum cost, you should invest in some stainless steel braided brake hoses, they will have a noticeable affect, and cover your MOT advisory in that department for life!

Good advice. Looks at Goodridge or HEL braided hoses.

IIRC forum vendors CRN Products can supply these hoses, wonder if they'll do a Group Buy?
