Im considering buying a second hand exhaust system from an m3 to fit to my 330ci (that im going to buy in the next week or so). I simply want the quad exhaust look, im not really bothered about sound or performance too much, just wondering how easy it is to do. Is it as simple as un-bolting the standard one and re-bolting the new one?

You could get a custom system made but the M3 system will definitely not fit unless you want to re-design the boot floor as the spare tyre well is in the way.
The only thing i'v seen on a 330 is twin pipes, 1 on the left and 1 on the right and that was a custom made system.

There are quad exhaust systems on the market but they exit at each corner. You would be looking at a hefty custom job to get an M3 exhaust to fit.

I prefer the standard look tbh, although I will upgrade mine to a milltek eventually

Try Eisenmann or Fox, They normally cater for all tastes!
