I am new to this forum and really want some help tuning my E46 328i manual, i was on another forum and someone put me on to this thread stating -
The 328 can be happily made up to something like 220bhp (from 192) without any mucking about with exhausts and air filters... Interested?

Have a search and you'll find the secret of taking the intake manifold (and possibly throttle body) from an E36 325i to replace the restrictive M52 manifold, add a remap to make use of it, et voila, a real improvement.
Is this statement correct or is there more to this, if anyone can help id be very grateful

I don't think it works on the E46 as the vanos system is different to the E36 328i. I could be wrong though

If this is not possible why do so many tuning forum state changing the E46 inletfold on the 328i for a E36 325 or 330 alipine inlet manifold????

M50 manifold does not fit.....the VANOS on the E46 gets in the way...

    M50 manifold will only fit the E36 323 or 328.....Not the E46........

M54 330i manifold & an adapter plate to your existing throttle body is the only solution - been done to death on various forums at this stage.
